Enhanced Chick-fil-A Bowl Web Tool Lets Fans ‘Celebrate the Rivalry’
ATLANTA (Sept. 16, 2013) – College football fans, beware. You may be getting “Rivalized” this season, thanks to the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Today marks the rollout of the new and enhanced Chick-fil-A Bowl Rivalizer, a free web tool that allows fans of ACC and SEC teams to engage in friendly trash-talk – in photo form.
At cfabowlrivalizer.com, users can take or upload a photo and instantly manipulate it with an opposing team’s gear, including helmets, hats, t-shirts, logos, and more. The site has clear navigation and is easily sharable through email, Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag “#Rivalizer” to spread the word.
"Since 1992, our game has celebrated the rivalry between the ACC and SEC,” said Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Bowl president and CEO. “We saw the Rivalizer as the perfect opportunity to embrace the passion of our fans and the nature of that rivalry."
With its low barrier for entry and no sign-in required, the Rivalizer is an easy way to get fans involved in real time. The app is available across all platforms (iOS, Android, and all standard desktop browsers).
Developed by Brunner and Red Clay Interactive, the Chick-fil-A Bowl Rivalizer was originally launched in December 2012 and experienced nearly 5,000 users in its first month of operation. Version 2.0 offers a superior user experience, specifically through mobile optimization, camera functionality and simpler navigation.
